Originally designed by architect Charles W. Davis, Jr. and built in 1964 by Ray Barber. Two buildings were torn down to build a dry cleaners for Roy Harris. The upstairs was larger than the downstairs to meet city code at the time. He had a 40 year lease. People would drop off clothes on the lower level and cleaning was upstairs. There was fur storage on lower level for summer storage. Mary and Randy Baker assumed the lease and when it expired they bought the building and land. They operated an Audio Buys and Repair center until 2008. They have recently renovated, replaced the AC, upgraded heat, installed insulation plus new siding and new roof. They tried to protect the architectural integrity and yet bring it into the 2000 era, more energy efficient. The location offers great road exposure.
